Salagou Lake is a reservoir of the dam Salagou . It is located in the center of the department of Hérault , on the river Salagou , a tributary of the river Lergue which flows into the Hérault . It reaches a depth of about 40 meters.

The lake has flooded part of the municipalities of Clermont l'Hérault in the east, Liausson south Octon west, and Those in the north. The water level is about 140 m.

The surface of the water is about 700 hectares, while the volume of the tank is equal to 102 million m 3. The lake is dominated by mountains and plateaus culminating at 300 m to the east and up to 407 m to the west Carels.
